Barry P. Eickhoff, 68, Sherwood, ND, died Saturday, December 20, 2008 in a Minot hospital.
Barry was born August 25, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Bernard Eickhoff and Leone (Piedt) Eickhoff-Bolinske. He attended school in Milwaukee up to the 6th grade and moved with his family to Rugby and Minot, ND and later Cudahy, WI, where he graduated from high school. Barry attended Minot State University, majoring in history. He worked for a time at the Trading Post east of Minot.
On October 15, 1963 he enlisted in the United States Army. He served with Company C, 124th Maintenance Battalion, 2nd Armed Division at Fort Hood, Texas. He was honorably discharged on October 14, 1965.
Barry was employed at Boeing Company, where he delivered parts to missile sites in North Dakota and Montana. He was later transferred to the Boeing offices in Wichita, KS, where he worked until ill health forced him to retire.
Those who shared in his life, mother, Leone Bolinske and stepfather, Max Hurdelbrink, both in Sherwood, ND; brother, Mark (Mardi) Bolinske, Minot; sister, Chris (Ron) Wagner, Williamsburg, PA; nephew, Ryan Wagner and niece, Lindsey Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Eickhoff and brother, Dennis Eickhoff.
