Memories for Vernon

From: JIM JORAN

I WANT TO EXTEND MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO A VERY NICE FAMILY. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

Eunice, Colleen, Joan, Monte, Jan, Julie, Chere, Bob, Erin and Cailin,

I was remembering some of the different times that we were all able to share with Vernon and all of you. The first one to pop to mind was the annual egg nog making at Grandma's house. (It is no wonder we all slept so good after having only one glass of this. Especially when we were all so young.) Of course along with this goes Vernon's very infectious laugh, and wonderful sense of humor. I remember all of the lunches, literally "out" in the field during harvest. Not to forget that the 4:00 lunch followed the noon lunch. I hope that all of you are able to find peace of heart with all of the prayer being sent your way. Vernon was truly a one of a kind person, and will NEVER be forgotten. I dearly wish I could be there for all of you. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

love always, Deneen

I have been thinking of all of you since I heard, but especially about your Dad. So many good memories. I remember Vernon and my Dad working on their desks in our basement and planning their boat with the plans spread out all over the place. I loved Vernon's distinctive voice and his laugh. Please remember there are so many of us who are thinking of you and praying for you all.

Dear Julie and Family, I am sorry to hear of Vernon's passing. I know your dad loved his "girls." As my daughter graduated from high school this spring, I went down memory lane many times and thought about my school days in Velva. Thanks for being a friend to me there. I hope your life has been happy and that this sadness eases with time. Sincerely, Ann Davies
