SO SORRY TO HEAR OF THE LOSS OF VERNA, SHE WAS A GREAT LADY.

WE USE TO HAVE A BLAST WITH VERNA AND HARRY AT THEIR MOUSE RIVER CABIN. MY PARENTS DON AND MADDY THOMPSON USED TO TAKE US TO VERNA AND HARRY'S ALOT AND IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!

VERNA WILL BE MISSED BY ALL!

Lois,
My thoughts are with you and your family in this time of saying your final farewell. I enjoyed visiting with your mom about her "yesteryears." She had great recall when I visited her a couple years ago about the Christianson family and their early roots in the Kenaston area. God Bless her memory!

Mom and Dad,

It is truly the end of an era, but a long and happy one. Gram was the strongest person I ever knew. I will take so much from her and Grampa throughout the rest of my life. They lived their lives with strength, spirit and character that I will always remember. And they both had such a neat sense of humor: hers was dry and witty, and his was infectious and child-like. They also raised an incredible daughter who made them and continues to make all of us so very proud! I am thinking of you every minute this morning, and wishing I was there with all of my heart. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and the kids and Russ send you their love and a big hug!

We love you both so much,
Anne, Russ, Ben and Hannah

Remember: The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He leadeth me to lie down in green pastures. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, he will comfort me.

Dear Mom and Dad,

As I write this, you are celebrating Grandma's life at her memorial service. My thoughts and prayers are consumed with you and Grandma, and I wish beyond belief I was there. But, for some reason, God didn't let that happen, so here we sit in Minnesota, thinking about you, thinking about Grandma, remembering her life and the person that she was.

I remember... Grandma continuously picking away at things, and always ending up with an immaculatetely clean house and tasty, balanced meals (a gift you inherited, Mom); card games; baseball and Days Of Our Lives on the TV; Republican values; the best potato salad on the planet; fishing and swimming in the muddy Mouse River; nectar; plastic pink flamingos; birthday and Christmas cards NEVER missed; long, hand-written letters; laughter, love and so much more.

What a blessing to have shared life with Grandma and Grandpa over the years! Their love for each other and for us was inspiring and such a gift. I will miss her dearly, but I rest in the knowledge that they are together with their Lord in heaven. Praise God for that.

My love to you today and everyday. May God bless this time as we close this chapter of our lives.

Valerie and family

We are going to deeply miss Grandma. I rejoice in the fact that she lived such a long and fruitful life. I have many fond memories of the Mouse River Park in the sumertime. The laughter and the fun. Grandpa trying to teach us how to golf and fish and Grandma entertaining the many friends and relatives that would vist. It was truly a wonderful time.

I was saddened when I read the Cando paper where your mother had passed away. She was always such a sharp person and I enjoyed visiting with her. I visited with her a year ago in the Kenmare nursing home. She remembered me and was still quite the lady!! I will be giving a memorial in her memory to the Cando Community Library. You have my sincere sympathy. Connie
