Memories for Theresa

 From: Geri Zainhofsky

Theresa's Family:

We were so sorry to hear of Theresa's passing.

How fast time passes us by, it seems like only yesterday that we were romping around Towner together and doing the things friends do. Those are the memories that I will treasure. She was special.
God Bless

I did send out a couple of cards to a couple of Theresa's sisters, but when I read the 'obituary' notice (it is hard to say that word with Theresa's name linked to it), and noticed that I could sign the online guest register, I was very happy and thankful to do this. I cannot even make it to her prayer service this evening due to watching our grandsons from this night on through Sunday. Our daughter and son in law had made prior tournament arrangements nearly 6 months ago. I am sorry that we cannot attend any of the Services for my dear friend since high school days in Towner. We kept in contact as much as we could, I guess, but it was not enough. In my eyes she was a 'Saint' living in a very sickly body and just could not give of herself enough to everyone that she cared for or knew. Her devotion to take care of her parents was so amazing and all what she gave up to do it!!! Her neices and nephews were always a big topic when we would visit -and how they were like her own children. If they were hurting, she was hurting for them. Their achievements would make her so proud. Now she is where she has wanted to be for so long - with Mom and Dad and our Lord. She suffers no more and is she ever happy now!!!. I thank the sisters that saw that Theresa could make it to our 2006 Towner Class Reunion last July. She looked so good, but tired. I felt the day made her happy, too. I understood way too well that we were not all in the same level in our class - as I only went there my high school years and one could feel alone often. I feel that Theresa felt that way alot, too, as she was so intelligent and loved to spend her time in her studies and her books and get home to help with the family - whatever it was. I so much admired her then, too. Well, I best sign off, but I just wanted her to! know that I adored her and wished that she could have gotten help so that she could still be with us all and finally living the life she so much deserved with all of her education that she had. Her contribution would have been so outstanding once again. She served her life here so well and so meaningful to so many. God Bless, Theresa, and I am so happy for you. My deepest sympathy and lots of prayers for the living family members that will miss her so dearly too.
Keep her memories close and she will be with you always.
Deepest regards and concern,
Rebecca R. Cargo

May God Bless all of you in the loss of one so special. It is a time of sorrow, but also a time of joy; a time to celebrate Theresa's journey through life on earth. Theresa is now on her heavenly journey with God, our Father.
Due to the weather/roads, I am uncertain if I will be at Theresa's funeral, but if not, I will be there in thought and prayer. I have sent a card/memorial to Monica's.
Love and prayers,
Carole Carpenter Lysne

Theresa and I taught and lived together in Goodrich. Since those were my first years out in the teaching field, Theresa served as my mentor. More than that - Theresa made that first very lonely year out in central ND bearable. All the nights we corrected papers together, watched movies, or just plain acted silly with our landlady will never be forgotten.
Sadly, we did not keep in touch over the years as our educational goals moved us in different directions.
Theresa talked highly and avidly of her family and I remember visiting the family home in Towner where I was treated like royalty!
I'm happy to have shared a part of my life with Theresa. She impacted me in many and varied ways. My sincere sympathy to all of her family and friends.

Our deepest sympathies to the Haman family. Theresa was one of my friends in high school and was so nice to me, even though she was a few years older. I am very sad to hear of her passing.

(Aunt) Theresa was a very special woman and had a wonderful impact on me as a child. I have never know anyone who could make me feel so special, she had a way of making everyone feel important no matter what age or how many people were around. I will miss her and think of her often.I know she is now with Aunt Doris and Uncle John and free of pain. I love you Aunt Theresa

It is still so hard to believe Theresa is gone, but she has gone to a pain-free place where her spirit will soar with her parents and those that have gone before her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Theresa's family as they face life without her.
