Memories for Ruth

From: Marjorie Stenberg Hamilton

Dear Joe, Marie, Debbie, Nancy, Patty, Becky, Mary and Molly;
I was so sorry to learn that Ruth had passed on. I looked at her picture and you know--with the exception of her white hair, she looked just like I remembered her from so many years ago. I hope that all the wonderful memories each of you have of your wife and mother will help you through these difficult times. My prayers are with Ruth and each of you.

It is so hard to have you leave us Ruth. There are so many people who are here for you, and they want you to hear them tell you- that they love you.

We'll have you in our hearts - When we remember you cradling Aaron and Paris in your arms - with that quiet smile you always shared. Or slowly petting Curly, when he sat in your lap.

We'll smile inside when we remember you playing video games and giggling so hard we almost cried...

You never forgot a birthday, a holiday, or a special event - and we could expect your cards and calls exactly on time. You'll be happy to know Joe is keeping up with you !

Of course anytime we bake we'll always recall your handmade from scratch recipes. And we promise to always ask if our order of key lime pie uses real limes - and if it does not... we'll skip it and opt for the chocolate cake.

From our side of the family - Paris, Aaron, Molly, Paul, Christopher and Caroline... and Curly - we will be sad this week, this month, and this year. And over time, we'll smile more, and laugh more, and tell more Ruth Berg stories.. because you filled our lives with happiness.

I am really sorry to hear about your mom. My mom was at the nursing home around the same time and passed away this last July. I remember helping with your mom at the table at the nursing home. She was a sweet lady. God Be with you.

Dear Joe, Marie, Debby and family;
Joe, you and Ruth always made us feel at home when we used to visit your home way back in High School. Marie and Debbie, I am so glad that you were with your mother when she passed away. My wife Terry and I have added your family to our prayers and please accept our deepest condolescents. When the Company I work for helped to sell Joe and Ruths home to a young couple, I really enjoyed seeing all the pictures of the girls on the walls. That young couple has just had their first child! Marie and Debby, I hope to see you at the Ryan all school re-union. We hope to have a night just for our class and you should be hearing about it soon. Please take care of each other and your dad and we look forward to the Summer event.

Ruth touched our life, and will be missed. Whenever I see a carmel roll, I think of Ruth, special neighbor and friend.
I'm thinking of you all today.I know that she was well taken care of in her need, and you, Joe, and the girls and their families were Ruth's loving support.
I know that your grieving started in small ways over 8 years ago, when Ruth's losses became your losses. Then you all came together often to show your love, and that sharing will help you now and always.
She lives in our hearts. Love from Joan, Keith and family.

Dear Mary and Family,
Rob Kondos told me about your Moms death. I have realized after having my own children, just how amazing your Mom was! Seven girls what more do I need to say. I always loved spending time at your house. There was always something going on. The other thing I remember is that your Mom was always home. Aside from her walks,which I understand now as the way she kept her sanity, she was there!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
Sincerely,
Trish Nostdahl

Dearest Debby, Marie, Patty, Nancy, Becky, Mary Jane, Molly and Mr. Berg...My heartfelt prayers are with you during this time of your loss. I will always remember each of you with the fondest of memories. We share many memories of St. Leo's, brownies, girl scouts, and growing up together those school-day-years. I remember being at your house, and it seemed like every time, your mom just had a baby or was pregnant...always a girl. All of you were so much fun, and each, so beautiful. Know that I am with you in spirit through prayer. With love, Nancy
