Memories for Ronald

From: Donna Bungo

Dear James and family,
My sincere condolences to you and your family on the death of your father. Living next door to your family for so many years in Wickliffe was great. Your family was so much a part of our family. When I moved away I really missed seeing your dad and mom. They are both great people. I will remember your dad especially how proud he was of his fishing gear and tackles. He was a very creative carpenter as well. Remember the good times you both had fishing and the summers at Pymatuning Lake. Please give your mom my best. She is a wonderful person and I miss seeing her. Feel free to pass along my email. It would be good to catch up sometime. Again, my sympathies on your loss. You are in my prayers.

May your grieving bring you to a greater sense of Peace. May your father rest in Peace.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Formanek. I have many good memories of him and your whole family from when we were kids. I was so glad to hear that he had moved to North Dakota and that you were able to spend some time with him before he died. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jim

Sincere condolences from your across the street neighbors on Phillips Ave., the Yericks. Your father was one easy going guy who never once complained about anything, even during the mid 70's when things sometimes got a little loud. I respect him for that. He was always good for a friendly wave when I saw him sitting on his front steps or in the yard. In the matter of a few short years, that neighborhood is completely changed forever. Almost all are now gone.

Again, I am sorry for your loss.

Jim and Barb,
You know how sad and shocked we were to hear of Ron's death. We hoped he would spend a lot of time with you and the girls...we know how much he missed all of you.

We really enjoyed living next door to Ron for the last 8 years. He was always kind to the kids and would listen to whatever story they wanted to tell, or watch whatever new skill they had mastered. There always seemed to be balls in his backyard that were launched over the fence, and he never cared. He was happy to have the kids playing and keeping him company. I guess we filled a spot because he was so far away from his own family. He talked about you a lot.

He was part of a network of friends who welcomed this new family with a bunch of kids into their midst. They held on to the traditions of sitting on the front steps and passing time talking to neighbors. We looked out for each other. We weren't afraid to ask for help or advice when needed.

Many of the friends have passed...the neighborhood won't be the same. He is very much missed. Summer will be the hardest.

We completely respect and admire your decisions when he needed you the most. You traveled here when he needed you, then opened your home to him, cared for him and ultimately were there for him. Your committment to family is wonderful.

With respect,
Matt, Sue, Carrie, Michala, Jonathan and Jackson
