Memories for Nick

From: Shari Lachenmeier

Herbert & Margaret,

I don't know if I will be able to make the funeral but I wanted you both to know that you are in my prayers. It's never easy losing someone but when they are younger it seems to be especially hard. Take care and know that a part of Nick will always be with you both.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Nicks family. We had the pleasure of knowing Nick through our son Shawn, he was at our house several times, when we saw a truck drive up with a load of scrap iron we said "it must be Foley". He truly was "one of a kind" kind of guy. And would do anything for anyone. The last time I saw him I said "You sure are a handsome guy with your hair cut", and he had just shaved after a long winter. And he said "ya, i get carded everytime I buy a pack of cigarates". He was a hard worker and fun loving guy. I understand he lightened up any room when he walked through it. He is going to be missed in a big way by everyone that knew him, but there will be alot of good memories. We were very fortunate to have known him.

Our hearts go out to you, Foley was a very unique person, he always had a smile on his face, he would do anything for anyone. I feel its very ironic, because Cameron and him were like two peas in a pod. I know there are no words to say to take your hurt away, the best we can do is to let you know were thinking about you. With deepest sympathy, Casey & Jeanette & Hercules (He loved our dog!!!)

We were very sad to hear what had happened to Nick.
I really had some good times with Nick and his buddy Dallas.
He always put a smile on my face.
Nick grew up to be quite a young man and he really enjoyed his work and trucks.
He will be missed by us.
Take care and we are here if you need us.

Just to let you know we are thinking of you everyday. Nick was a big hearted helpful guy. It was just a few weeks ago him and cameron were out at our house helping us pull quills on the dog. Then my 4 year old daughter found a new friend in Nick all she could say to me is there is foley and when is foley coming back to our house. He will always have a special place in our heart. If there is anything that we can help with don't hesitate

I am so very sadden and sorry for our loss. I can say I have so many memories with Nick and I was one of the very few who did not call him 'Foley' because that just wasn't the way I knew him. We will all get through this. Thank you so much in your contributions of making Nick the hard-working and uniquely amazing person he was. He will never be forgotten.

With my deepest sympathy,
Amy Rau

To all of the family of Nick, words can not describe how much i miss these boys. The day of the accident they were helping work and haul out cattle. They ate supper with us and had such a good day laughing and just being themselves. When they left they said they would return tomorrow to finish off the cookies I had made. A family friend visited with them around 10:00 that night and said both boys were fine. My only regret is that I spent the last day with your son and your family didn't. He was a good kid and will always be remembered as a very dear friend of Camerons. We planted two flowering crab trees in our front yard today in honor of each of the boys. We had many questions about that day and got very few answers but if you would like us to share what we do know feel free to call. Again I am so sorry for your loss and know exactly how you feel. It just doesn't seem fair.
