So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, Dolly. She and your dad were good friends of my mom and dad (Clinton and Arleen Soland) for many years and always enjoyed their company. Mom and Dolly were in homemakers togethe, Lila was in my sister Clarice's class when we attended Landa, and Sandra was my best friend when we attended school there. Sandra was the one who told me there was no Santa Claus. I always enjoyed sleep overs at the Forde's because we always felt so welcome. Again, so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers and prayers are with you all.

Sandy,
Orlyn & I are in Scottsdale,AZ. Orlyn was on his computer yesterday and pulled up the Minot Daily News.
We were saddened to see that your mother had passed away.
I know this is a time when words and expressions of sympathy help little, but our caring and love are sent with the hope that they will bring a little peace. Love, Louise & Orlyn

What a wonderful Aunt she was. I will never forget all the funy things she said and did. I still enjoy thinking about our trip to Washington. My Mom, Dolly and I had such a great time!I think Donny thought we were all crazy.

My deepest sympathy to all.
As one of Dolly's caregivers I enjoyed many visits with Dolly and Glen.
I thought of Dolly often and will never forget her kindness.

From: Margaret Soland Earle
My name is Margaret Soland Earle. We became familiar with the Forde family in the 1950's when we went to elementary school in Landa, ND. My parents and the Forde's got together at times to play whist. When it was time for the evening snack, Dolly would make the most delicious salmon sandwiches, which I remember fondly. I also rememher we would anxiously await the Catholic church suppers at Westhope, ND where Dolly diligently worked. As my sister, Marlene, relayed it was a wonderful relationship with the entire family that made me and others appreciate to this day. She was so gregarious, always with a warm smile, which I loved because I was so shy during my early years. You all have been blessed with a wonderful mother and we will all miss her.
