I am keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Greg Grandma, --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Melba Olson Dear Smette Family, --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Darwin and Mary Beth Our deepest sympathy goes out to you at the loss of Grandma Leatha. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Wanda and Chuck Mulligan When we left our daughter, Charlotte, in Deering with Doug, Leatha, and Ma Bell in 1978, we were sad, but knew she had found a perfect family to help her raise her babies and to love her all her life. Leatha gave her family and extended family the best of herself. We are grateful for having known you. God bless you, Slim. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Jack M. Lay II Although I never had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Smette in
person, I feel as though I have known her my entire life through
stories told by the Miller family in Tennessee. They always returned
from trips to North Dakota with tales of fun and family. "Gradma"
was a centerpiece in almost every story. The Millers and the
entire Smette family are in my thoughts and prayers. They are
fine people. I am certain Mrs. Smette played a big part in making
them who they are today. My sincere condolences go out to Delila,
Greg, Renae, Raymond, and other members of the Smette Family.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Teri Nelson I wanted to wish my sincere sympathy to all of you. Leatha was a very special lady and will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Just remember that she is in good hands now, as God will be watching over her forever. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Sandy and Lois Twitchell Wish we could be there with you today. She was such a great lady. Our love and prayers are with you. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Angie Cross Although I didn't really "know" her, I feel that I did through the many stories I've heard from Delila and Renae. My heart goes out to the entire family for the loss of such a neat lady. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Scott, Lee Ann, Kiersten and Mackenzie Seabolt We are sorry for your loss, we are friends with Renae in Tennessee, and we go to church with Raymond and Delilah. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Marcia Claiborne My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you. I only met Leatha once when she came to Tennessee and she was a spitfire. I'm sure her granddaughter,Renae, will be just like her when she gets to be 93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Sandy and Lois --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Your # 2 granddaughter (the Tennessee HIllbilly) I have the BEST MEMORIES of you and all of our family!!!!!
Our trips to ND were the best ever and we had soooo much fun
listening to your stories and of course you letting us know that
you are (The Boss) Taylor thought that was so funny too. You
always made me laugh and still do when I think of what a spitfire
you were. I enjoyed our trip to the BadLands that year as well
and all of the get togethers. Family is so important to me and
even though we lived so far away you were always close in my
heart and soul!! We all have you to thank for the love and closeness
that we share! You were so amazing to so many and you will be
surely missed but I am so thankful that you had a fullfilled
life and that God will take care of you now b/c you deserve it!!
I'm glad that you will be with grandpa and Keith as well!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Charlene (Heit) Boehmer To the Smette family, so sorry for the lose of your Mother.
