Memories for Jean

From: Jim FuchsJean Limke Photo

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Jean. I have so many good memories of her being part of my life growing up in Lockwood Township. I always enjoyed sharing stories and seeing her pictures from the days of Lockwood school and beyond. Good-bye to a wonderful lady and neighbor.

What a grand lady Jean was!
I taught school with her in Lansford. She was not only a fellow teacher, but a true friend.

MRS. LIMKE WAS MY GLENBURN 7TH GRADE TEACHER...SHE WAS ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO HAVE HAD...SHE WAS INSPIRING, ENCOURAGING AND KEPT EACH AND EVERY SUBJECT INTERESTING..

MAY THE LIMKE FAMILY REMEMBER THE GREAT MEMORIES OF THIS WONDERFUL PERSON WHO, THROUGH HER TEACHING, TOUCHED MANY, MANY LIVES...

Our sympathy to you all in the loss of your mom and grandmother.  We wish we could be there with you.  Jean was a great teacher and she encouraged the love of reading, good grammar and "correct" spelling in all her students. That is a great legacy.  Love, JoAnn

Limke family,

Our prayers and thoughts are with your family at this time.  I went to school in Glenburn, did not have Jean for a teacher but did have Judy in my class in Glenburn when the Limke kids went to school there while Mom was teaching.  Keep her close to your hearts!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.  Both of us have very fond memories of Jean. She was my 5th & 6th grade and I remember we had fun and learned alot from your Mom, she was one of my favorite teachers.  One of the fun things she allowed in our 6th grade year ('57-58) was to give us alot of time to watch the new Lansford school being built right outside our window and then back to work!

Doug remembers Dave, Jean, and the kids spending time in "Grano" and out at your farm.
