Memories for Ida
From: Mike & Sue Hummel
We are so sorry over the loss of your Wife and Mother. Ida was a wonderful lady and good friend to our parents, Walt and Maxine. She will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched.

Ida captured the beauty of nature in her paintings, which will live forever. Thank-you Ida.

I saw Ida this past May when I last visited Minot. She graciously invited my sister, my father, and me out to their house for dinner. She was a gracious hostess and so kindly provided me with fresh rhubarb from her garden to take back to San Diego! She was a great lady and will be missed.

I'm sorry to hear of Ida's death. She was a wonderful lady and a great friend to our mom, Maxine, and she was also my Godmother. She has been so wonderful to our dad, Walter, since Mom's death. Dad and I have enjoyed our time spent with her and Leonard and playing cards. The last time we played, Ida and I were the winners and I said "women rule and the men drool" and she really laughed at that one!
Ida painted two pictures for our family that we treasure - one of my husband Dan in his boat at the Lake and one of our kids in front of our previous home. She was a very talented and special lady and we will miss her.

My favorite time of year to think of Ida is Christmas. She made Christmas elfs for each of us Fox kids (Jim and Joy) and I have always made sure that the elf is the very first ornament on my tree. It hangs on the lowest branch, just a little to the right so I can see it every time I come through the door. I have many fond memories of the Hummel family. She will be missed but will always be in my heart.

My deepest sympathy to you all. Ida was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. I have known the Hummel family for many years and Vicki was a very good friend of mine. Ida and I shared some time together when Leonard and my mom were both in the Trinity rehab. God Bless the family.
