We are friends of Howard's from church. We often sat near him and visited with him at church dinners, before and after church, and at other functions. Howard was a true gentleman and a very intelligent person. We will greatly miss him, especially on Sunday mornings. Our sincere sympathy to his family.

Condolence message from Doris (Thompson) Lorentzen

I knew Howard when I was growing up in Minot. He was a buddy of my two brothers Erv and Arnold Thompson.
He spent alot of time at my house and I almost felt he was my third brother at times.

I remember that he was smiling and always happy. I have so many great memories of the three of them together. I
married and moved away in 1946. and he was at my wedding.

I live in Waco, Texas but read articles in the Minot Daily News and when I saw Howard had passed away I felt like
part of my family was gone.

I know both Lillian and Norris remember me I turn 83 this week so I am no longer the "little sister" they knew.

I send my love and sympathy to your family....Sincerely Doris

Neola was my Grandfather's (Orvil Buchanan)sister. I havn't met very many relatives on his side of the family, but have many stories. I was just informed of Uncle Howard's passing. I am sorry for your loss. (Orvil passed away in March of 2006.)
