Memories for Herb

From: Marty and Mary Graner

Sorry to hear of the death of your dad. We will miss seeing him at Somerset. We will treasure the memories of living next door to each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sorry we can not attend the funeral, as we are in St. Paul, MN awaiting the birth of a grandchild. Keep in touch when you come to see your mom.

My sympathy to the family. I remember baby-sitting some of the cute little Kleingartmer girls in Sherwood in the 50's...

I really enjoyed my visits with Herb. We discussed everything from religion to politics and the weather. We spent a lot of time going over the economy. He was a real joy to spend time with and I am so glad I got to know him. My condolences and may God be with you all at this difficult time. Gary Thuner

Requests: I worked in the grain commission office at Cargill in the 70's when Herb was the elevator manager there. (Our office was in the west office of the elevator.) I remember Herb as a man who did not swear or raise his voice. He cared about people and was a gentleman. I was saddened to hear of the loss of such a nice person. Peace be will all of you. So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I have fond memories of my dad and Herb taking us "hooding." It's amazing we came out of this with no broken bones. Good memories of you as neighbors. We are out of town but you are in our prayers.
