Memories for Dr. Verne

From: Janie Janicki Newborg

I just heard of Verne's death. I have many fond memories of him during my childhood. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Theresa, I was so sorry to hear about Verne. So many of Dave's contemporaries are gone. I understand Verne had been in ill health. A thought that helps me is "Be more glad that he lived than sad that he died". I'm sure your family will be of much comfort as mine was.

To the family of Dr Verne, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Verne, as I have always have had fond memories of all of you growing up. Dr Verne was a fun person and could give as well as take a good joke. I remember the time that the Saunders and the Cooks were out at Cooks when Dr Verne drove up in his new Ford Mustang! One of the Cooks, if I had to guess it would be Chuck, decided that Dr Verne s new mustang should be tied up to the hitching rail ( remember the one beside the driveway)? It was all in fun and everyone had a great time. Vivienne and I will be thinking of all of you in your celebration of Verne s life. Bless you all. John and Vivienne Saunders.
