Memories for Doris Cox

From: Bonnie Masters

My deepest sympathy to all of you. I remember what a wonderful friend Doris was to my mother and a gracious hostess to all who entered her home. She was a great neighbor and a lovely woman. Heaven is surely rejoicing to have Doris home. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My memories of Doris are filled with her cheerful, joyful personality, hearty laughter and good humor. Most vivid are the special times we spent together in their cabin at Mouse River Park when Ken and I were just kids. Sincere condolences to Karen, Kathy, Kenny & their families. One is never ready to part with a parent, especially one as beloved as Doris.

Karen, Kenny and Kathy,

We are sorry to hear of your mothers passing and even though we know she is in a better place there is an empty spot in your hearts as well as her family and friends. I was in Boise with John and Krystal at the time of Doris's funeral so I was unable to be with you that day. Remember to look to the Lord for comfort and draw on the strength of your friends and family. Please let me know if there is anything we can do. Remember---I have a good ear for listening and big shoulders to lean on.

Ken, Karen, Kathy and family and many friends:
We are thinking of you all in this time of loss of your mother and a friend to all who had the pleasure to know her. I don't ever remember a time that Doris didn't have a smile and something good to say, although there may have been a few times when she could have been upset with some of the things we did. Doris was a special person and memories of her will always bring a smile to your heart.

I just heard of the passing of Doris and wanted to send my sincere condolences. It's been many years since I last saw Doris but can truly say that I've never met a more pleasant person. It was a privilege to see the love she had for her children. May your memories of her comfort you and the knowledge that others share in your loss give you strength. Heaven is enriched with her laughter and goodness.

So sorry to hear that Doris passed away. I know there is a special place in heaven for her. She was such a wonderful, loving and giving person. She always remembered who I was even if it was years between visits. Boy could she cook, I don't recall anyone going hungry when she was at a picnic.
I have so many good memories, not only back to when we lived in North Dakota, but even as we came back to visit over the years. I'm so glad we got to see her this past summer when we took my dad back for his last trip to the farm.
Our deepest sympathy,
Butch Sundin and Family
