Memories for Del

From: Alison Smith

Mike and Bobbi and rest of the Marum Family. I am so sorry at the passing of Del. I had only met him twice and he was the friendliest fellow around. He was such a go getter and most certainly adored his family. He will be greatly missed.

Delbert was a wonderful man. With all his health problems, he never lost his humor or his will to go on.
I did not know Delbert very long but the time I did get was wonderful. I thought I'd share a story with you. Delbert teased me about my cold hands all the time, then he would say "cold hands, warm heart". Every morning I went to work I would stop in to see how Delbert was doing. One morning he was resting so comfortable I didn't want to wake him, so I snuck in to put the oxygen probe on his finger and without open his eyes he said, "Georgia that has to be you". I knew he was talking about my cold hands and we both laughed so hard. Like I said, he was an awesome man and I know that this is all a great loss to each one of you. God Bless you all in your time of grief.

I remember having some very thoughtful conversations with your father. Everyone who met him immediately knew he was a very nice man.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family,
