Dear Hardinge
On behalf of Cora's norwegian famely I would like to express our sympathy, and thank you for letting us know that our dear aunt and grand old lady Cora has passed away. We would all have loved to be at the funeral but it is not easy to organize in such short notice. But we will be together with you in our minds. Cora wisited us several times and as a kid I specially remember the chewing gums from America.
I'm very glad that my daughter and I had the opportunity to wisit Cora in Velva, and meeting you and Nadine, I see from the newspaper article that she has passed away, how sad to read.
We had some wonderful days together, and seeing where Cora and Sven lived and worked was just fantastic. Also looking av all the old pictures that Cora had from our american part of the famely was very very interesting. I remember she said that she wanted to write a famely-historie, I wonder if she ever got started ....
I still have the video from our wisit and I will try to make this from the tape to a CD.
After letting everyone here in Norway know, I also called Cora's famely in Seattle (Sven's brother Torvald's sons). I learned then that only one (the eldest) of his three sons are still alive. Lois, Tom's widoe, promised to notify all the relatives over there.
If I manage to make a copy of our wisit in a readable format for USA I will send one for you to remember the wisit from Norway.
We will be togehter with you in our minds tomorrow!
Lot of love from Norway
