We don't have the words to ease the pain of losing Bill, but know that we will always be there for you and the boys. Bill holds such a deep place in both of our hearts. We are so grateful to God to have been able to spend time with your family this past May. We will cherish those few days for the rest of our lives.

Merry, Christopher, and Bradley, my heart goes out to you in this time of great loss. It was great to have 'bumped' into Bill while assigned to Minot, being one of only 3 Keweenaw residents there. One of the hardest tasks I had while assigned there was giving Merry the news of her cancer, and again following through with Bill with his. When I returned from a tour in Iraq, I was devestated to learn of the recurrance of Bill's cancer. I only wish, I, or medicine in general could have done more for him.
He was a great man, a great husband, a great father, and a great patriot. He will be sorely missed in this world.

As a graduate of the CHS class of 88, i would like to convey my sympathy to all of Bill's family. I don't think i've seen Bill since graduation, but have fun memories of him back in Senior English/Lit. class. We called him "Airforce Bill" back in that class, since he talked of wanting to be in the Air Force so often. :) I'm glad to see he was able to fulfill that dream. Sympathy to you all.

Dear Family,
You are going through a great loss and we want to let you know you are in our prayers. We will never forget the activities on the old Lauriuim streets of First and Ahmeek. Since we have not seen "Billy" as a young husband and father, we can only remember his baseball cap and filps of curly hair, long legs and a cute little smirk. You will continue to be in our prayers and the journey will be going through gets better, and you will meet many new experiences along the way.And out of this will come many new and great things. It is hard to believe this now, but you will Always remember he continues to be in our heart and there is a special place for our children we have lost.

To the family of Bill,

I am so sorry to hear about Billy. I haven't seen him for such a long time (probably early 90's). I was hoping he was going to be able to attend our 20 year reunion this past July, but hearing that he was battling cancer I kinda figured that wouldn't be a possiblility. Our classmates at the reunion did give special recognition to him and had asked that he and his family be in our thoughts and prayers. I will never forget Billy and our hockey playing days...a lot of good memories.

Merry, Christopher and Bradley, we were very sad to hear the news. Bill was a great man and good friend. We will always remember him with fondness. Bill was there when I was deployed and delivered flower to Edie with only a last minute notice. Not only did he find a beautiful arrangement he also waited at our home for Edie to arrive so he could hand deliver them. You are all in our prayers. Love John and Edie
