Just know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.

I can't begin to describe how great a friend Ashley was. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard or had so much fun with anyone. He lived life to the fullest. My mom was his 4th grade teacher and she told me how he used to write elaborate stories about the goats out on the farm. He would tease them and they'd chase after him. She said they were the funniest and most well-written stories to ever come from a fourth grader.
I'm so sorry for you loss. He was a wonderful person.

I know Ashley through my great friend Davey Hovland and spent some time with him as well just last year. We had a great friendship from the start as he was so easy to be around and loved to have a good time. There is nothing I can say to express my regret at the loss for the family and close friends. May he be with God and may his family know he is remembered.

My dearest condolences to Ashley's family and friends. It is a time like this when we realize that we should have taken the time to know someone better. I wish I would have taken the time to get to know Ashley as an adult. Ashley was my little blond cousin that always had a quick smile and wanted to climb as high as I in the tree in Grandpa and Grandma Bakken's yard. I am happy he was a part of my childhood, as I am sure you all are happy he was a part of your life. I am very sorry for your loss.

My brother said it perfectly, "Ashley was a real asset to this world." Ash was one of the most inteligent and humorous people I knew. We spent a good three years of our lives together and I will always cherise them. I feel lucky that I got to hold his hand and talk to him in his final hours. Ash and I attended church while we dated and I know he had accepted God into his heart and he is now seated next to Him, looking down on his family and friends from Heaven. Ashley got me through some very difficult times. He was there for me when my Dad passed away and without him, I'm not sure I would have made it through. Ash was a truly exeptional person and may his memory live on forever.

With Love, Megan
