I am the granddaughter of Cacilia Carlson and niece of the Carlson Brothers-Ed, Al, Ernest and Robert. Irene was my mom. I am sorry to hear about Art's passing. My uncles would talk about going to visit the Ekstrom's. You were part of the special neighborhood in the country. You will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God Bless!

My father, Ernest H. Nelson and my mother, Helen L. Nelsen used were "best" friends of Art. They grew up together around Kenmare area and my dad could never mention Art without a twinkle in his eye. Art lived a great life of fun, enjoyment and was close to the Lord.

my aunt leanora is in kenmare home where your dad was living--i still have very fond memories of taking the bus home from school with joyce and staying on the farm--your family was always so loving and kind-i too lost my dad -in december-these family men can never be replaced-we were so blessed to have such wonderful Christian dad's--love to all of your family----i moved to oregon in the 4th grade but was friends with joyce and still think of her as a friend--lots of love to a wonderful family---bunny
