Terry Zietz • 1953 - 2009

Terry Zietz, 56, Fargo, ND, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 in his home.

Terry was born on May 12, 1953 the fourth son of Johnny H. and Viola (Wagner) Zietz in Minot, ND. He was raised in the Project area west of Burlington where he enjoyed the summer and winter months outdoors with his six brothers.He loved fishing, camping, and sledding in the hills and rivers near Burlington. Terry enjoyed cooking and baking even as a boy. His family favorite was homemade chocolate cake. He graduated from Des Lacs-Burlington High School in 1971. He was active in football, basketball, and track during his years in school.

Terry married Lori Kilbourn in 1973. Chad and Tonya were his children from this union.

Terry experienced many occupational pursuits during his work days. He was a warehouse worker, O-Day Equipment Company employee, cook, restaurant manager, and finally truck driver for Dakota-Land Auto Glass in Fargo.

He loved to play bingo and was good at it. The past years golfing was his passion. He looked forward to the "Brothers" September golf tournament each year. Going to Lloyd's cabin in Minnesota was his joy. He was a faithful Minnesota Viking and Twins fan.

Terry took pride in the tidiness of his Fargo apartment. He was a neat bug and everything had its place. He loved to take his family on individual tours.

His loving family includes:Children: Chad and Tonya and their children, Brothers; John (Susan) Zietz, Minot, Rick (Maureen Dickinson) Zietz, Minot, Tim (Gayla) Zietz, Des Lacs, ND, Tracy (Serena) Zietz, Minot, Randy Zietz, Bottineau,
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Julie, brother Mitchell, and Nephew Jesse Zietz.

Visitation: Monday, July 27, 2009 from 2 until 7 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 10 am at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
