Wayne Young 1957 - 2005 Wayne Young, 48, Mount Clemens, MI, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 in Minot. Wayne was born January 6, 1957 in Reno, Nevada, the last of six children. He was raised on the coast of Maine, where his family has been since the Pilgrims landed here. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He met and married Rose Stavem on September 9, 1978, while stationed in Minot. Wayne and Rose made their home in Mt. Clemens, MI. Wayne enjoyed chess, golf, reading, macramé and history. He and his wife were visiting the Howard Stavem family when he passed away after a long illness. His children sum him up in words like, "Noble," "Honorable" and "Always." Wayne's marriage to Rose was held up as an example and talked about by many. Their love continues. To those lucky people who knew him, he will be greatly missed and always remembered. Those who shared in his life: His wife, Rose; five children, Jeremy, Michael, James, Trevor and Krystal; five grandchildren, Kimberly, David, Autumn, Abigail and Ashley Young; his father, Ronald Young; three brothers, Lance, Doug and Reginald Young; a sister, Arlene Young. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgette Bickford Young, an older brother, Ronald Rice Young, and a grandson, Thomas Jordan Young. Memorial Service: Friday at 10:00 a.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, in Clinton Township, MI, next to his grandson, Thomas.
