Marie Yale 1935 - 2003 Marie Yale, 68, 529 12th St. NE, Minot, died Sunday, October 5, 2003 in the Kenmare hospital. She was born February 5, 1935, to John and Ella Krause on the family farm in Sherwood, ND. She was raised and educated in Sherwood. She moved to Minot and worked prior to her marriage to Terry R. Knutson on April 19, 1955 in Mohall. They lived on the farm in Sherwood for a time and spent the majority of their married life in Northgate and Minot, ND, after living in several other states. Marie had various jobs throughout her marriage to Terry. Terry died October 10, 1987. On February 13, 1997, she married Ed Yale. They owned and operated M & E Transfer prior to retiring. They spent winters in Arizona and then California. She became ill with cancer in April of 2001. Marie enjoyed sewing, making quilts and making many other craft items. She took pleasure in her vegetable and flower gardens. Survivors: sons, Kermit (Deanna) Knutson of Bowbells, Traver, (Mary Sue) Knutson of Minot, Gerry (Marsha) Knutson of Bowbells, Steve (Lisa) Knutson of Lignite and Jay (Monica) Knutson of Portal; daughters, Teresa (Jay) Hass of Bowbells, DelRee (Tom) Rasmusson of Kenmare; 15 grandchildren; step-children, Deb Williams of Bottineau, Barbara Koneczny of Minot, Jodi Benge of Bowbells, Lori Yale of Williston, Emily Yale and Edward Yale, both of Texas; five step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; sisters, Marion Crossman, Pierson, Manitoba and Arlene Knutson, Arleto, CA. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Terry R. Knutson and Ed Yale and her brother Leonard Krause. Funeral: Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at, 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
