Jerry Jacob Wolf was born February 8, 1917, to Jacob and Ida Wolf, Rural Des Lacs, ND.
Jerry received an honorable discharge on October 10, 1941, after serving in the army during WWII including fighting in the Battle of the Bulge.

He married Patricia M. Karp on May 15, 1946 at St. Leoʼs Catholic Church, Minot. They made their home southeast of Minot where he created their homestead. They resided there for many years and raised their seven children, moving into the city of Minot in 2004.

After being discharged from the service, Jerry worked for Great Northern Railway before running a dairy farm for many years and eventually retiring from the Minot Post Office in 1979.

Jerry enjoyed the farm life.

He was a charter member of the Minot Trail Riders Club, St. Leoʼs Catholic Church, a former member of the Minot Moose Club, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, a bowling league and the Sharp-tail Bird Dog Club.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, sons-Gary (Barb), Minot; Billy (Theresa),Bismarck; daughters-Bonnie Wolf, Dublin, California; Sue Packulak, Minot; Jerylyn (Lyle) Schepp, Maxbass; Kathy (Jay) Kroke, Sawyer; and Jackie (Scott) Snyder, Minot; Sisters, Ida Hall, Minnesota; Rosa Mae Hromatka, Minnesota; Mariella Medieros, California; 21 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; special care giver, Rose Minnerup and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Timothy; brother, Anton; sisters, Regina Rubbelke; Rosella Hall, Helen Duda; Evelyn Ruter; and Bernadine Lynch.

Visitation: Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 1-4:30 at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot and from 5 until 6 pm with a vigil service at 6 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot

Mass of Christian Burial:  Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot

Burial:  Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
