Selina Wirtz • 1922 - 2011 Selina Rose Theusch was born June 21, 1922, on the family farm, southwest of Kenmare, ND, a daughter of Gerhard and Odilia (Schumacher) Theusch. She was raised and educated in Kenmare, graduating from Kenmare High School in 1940. On October 21, 1942, Selina was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Wirtz in Kenmare, ND. Following their marriage the couple farmed north of Donnybrook. They also had farming interests in Saskatchewan, Canada, and farmed there from 1958-1973. In 1986, they retired from farming. Selina was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the church in which she was baptized, took her first communion, confirmed and was married, she was also active with the ladies circle. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking, family reunions and camping at Smisek Lake and the Mouse River Park. Selina is survived by: Children: Dianna Anderson, Woodbury, MN, Gary (Judy) Wirtz, Hermantown, MN, Ron (Audrey) Wirtz, Kenmare, ND, Ken (Barb) Wirtz, Dilworth, MN, Donna Norrie, Kenmare, ND; Ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; sisters Eileen Nett, Marge Caufield and Ellen Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Selina was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, son-in-law Bob Anderson, one great-granddaughter, three brothers and two sisters.
