Wilda Belle Wink 1909 - 2005

Wilda Belle Wink, 96, Kenmare, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in the Mountrail Bethel Home, Stanley, ND.

Wilda was born January 1, 1909, in Stafford Township, Renville County, rural Norma, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Minnie (Turk) Wink. Her father passed away in 1913, so her mother raised the family alone.

In 1945 she was employed by the Munsingwear Company, where she worked for over 28 years until her retirement in 1974.

Wilda transferred her membership to First Baptist Church in Minneapolis where she worked in the church and Sunday school as president of the class for one year. She also worked in the guild on missionary work, which she was always interested in. She and her sister returned to Kenmare in 1986 to make their home. While in Kenmare she was a member of Faith Baptist Church and became an honorary member Women's Missionary Society.

Wilda and her sister lived together until 1988 when her sister entered the nursing home, and Wilda continued to make her home in Kenmare until 2002 when she entered the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley.
