Glen Wheeler 1918- 2006
Glen W. Wheeler, age 87, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Minot,
died Friday, July 21, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton.
Glen was born on December 14, 1918 in Schaller, Iowa, the son
of Clifford and Emma Gettman Wheeler. He married Tresa Lane on
November 19, 1941 in Armstrong, IA. Tresa died on December 25,
1999. Glen served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater
during W.W. II. He was a member of the Timberwolf Division serving
in France and Germany. Glen was a telegrapher with Western Union
in North Dakota retiring in 1972. After his retirement he worked
for Tollefson Furniture in Minot. Glen was a member of Trinity
Lutheran Church in Clinton and Faith United Methodist Church
in Minot. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.
Glen is survived by two sons; Gerald (Cheryl) Wheeler of Clinton
and Glendon "Skip" (Linda) Wheeler of Renton, WA; three
grandchildren and two great grand children. He was preceded in
death by his parents, his wife, three brothers and one sister.
Visitation: Thursday, July 27, 2006 one hour prior
to service times at the Faith United Methodist Church, Minot
Funeral Service: Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
at the Faith United Methodist Church, Minot
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
