Margaret Werlinger 1913 - 2002

Margaret Werlinger, 88, 305 8th Ave. NE, Minot, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002 in a Minot nursing home.

She was born September 28, 1913, in Buffalo Lake, MN, to Thomas and Emma (Marquardt) Armstrong. As a young girl she moved with her family to Sanish, ND, where she was reared and educated and graduated from Sanish High School in 1933. She then moved to Minot where she was a housekeeper for a number of years. In the early 1940's she married Dominic Tom Werlinger in Wolfpoint, MT. They lived in Minot, where Margaret worked at the Minot Country Club as a cook and later at the Kenway Hotel, where she had various responsibilities. Her husband died on August 9, 1971. She continued living in Minot and on April 1, 1994, she moved to Trinity Homes, Minot, where she has since lived.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot and attended Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, both of Minot. Her and her husband were members of the Elk's Lodge. Margaret loved to sew, read and listen to books on tape and was an Atlanta Braves Baseball fan. She also loved pictures, and put many albums together for her family throughout the years.

Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Tamara Werlinger, Naperville, IL and David and Julee Werlinger, Auburn, WA; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and David Hrichena, Minot and Diane and Bill White, Mentor, OH; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Werlinger, Huntington Beach, CA; nine grandchildren, Traci Armstrong, Chablis Meadows, Debbie Dolsak, Bud White, Carissa Werlinger, Brock Werlinger, Kayla Werlinger, Scott Hrichena and Mandy Nygaard; seven great-grandchildren, Brianna and Brook Armstrong, Dominic Hrichena, Derek Nygaard, John, Taylor and Liah Dolsak; sister, Florence Johnson, Edina, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Allen; parents; sisters Goldie Reed and Pearl Berg and brother Earl Armstrong.

Funeral: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Homes, Minot.

Visitation: Friday from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
