Selma V. Ones Wentz • 1927 - 2007 Selma Valborg Lee was born to John and Bertha (Brekhus) Lee on March 20, 1927, in Rockford Township in Renville County, near Norma, ND. She attended school in Rockford Township. Selma went to Chicago for a time and worked in a factory. She came back to North Dakota and married Ordan Ones on July 30th of 1949. They were blessed with one son Curtis Ivan Ones. They lived on the farm and ranched in Grover Township where Curtis and his wife JeAnne still reside. Selma moved to Kenmare after the death of Ordan in February of 1967, and began working at the Ben Franklin Store. Selma met Gabriel Wentz in Kenmare and they were married April 2, 1971. Together they lived in Steele, ND, Watford City, ND and Minot, ND. Selma worked at the Americana Nursing Home in Minot, ND for many years in the laundry department until she retired. Selma was a member of Evanger Lutheran Church, rural Norma. Those who shared in her life, Son, Curtis and his wife JeAnne Ones, Tolley; grandchildren, LaNelle (Shawn) Ramey, Tacoma, WA, and Ryan (Amy) Ones, Tolley; one great-granddaughter, Grace Ones; brother, Chester (Shirley) Lee, Watford City, ND; sister, Sandra (Wray) Lasher, Regina, Sask., Canada; two stepsons and two step daughters and several stepgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Selma was preceded in death by her husbands, Ordan Ones and Gabriel Wentz; her parents; brothers, Gordon, Leroy, Donald, Stanley, Orville and Larry Lee; sisters, Irene Pitzmeyer, Muriel Zalitis, Bonnie Clark and Violet Lee. Funeral: Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Evanger Lutheran Church, rural Norma, ND. Visitation: Tuesday one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial: McKinney Cemetery, Tolley, ND.
