Edward J. "Eddie" Wentz 1928 - 2010 Edward James Wentz was born February 28, 1928 in Harvey, ND to Anton and Magdalena Wentz. He was raised on a farm near Harvey and attended school there. He entered the United States Army in 1950 and served until he was honorably discharged in 1952. He returned to North Dakota where he worked for several area farmers. He later worked as a mechanic at Westlie Motor Company and then Main Motors, both in Minot. Edward continued to farm and started his own trucking firm hauling grain. Those who shared in his life, special friend of over 50 years, Hilda Stuber, Minot; children, Diane Cina, Marilyn (Ken) Gartner and Kathy (Dean) Tarasenko; daughter-in-law, Joyce Stuber, Minot; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores (Leo) Fettig, West Bend, WI, and Lenora Dye, Fulton, MI; brothers, Clarence (Carol) Wentz, West Bend, WI, and Norman Wentz, Milwaukee, WI; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Benji. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tony, Herbert and August Wentz and Hilda’s son, Gary Stuber. Funeral: Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation: Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
