Martha Wenger 1915 - 2006 Martha Wendschlag was born on June 24, 1915, the daughter of Christian and Sophia (Nessel) Wendschlag in McGuiness Township, McLean County, ND. She was reared and educated in the area, attending the Crystal Country School. On March 17, 1933, Martha was united in marriage to John Wenger in Garrison, ND. Following their marriage, the couple lived on the family farm west of Max, where they raised small grains and cattle. In 1968, they moved to Minot. John died December 13, 1968. In 1972, she moved back to the farm, where she resided until 1979, when she moved back to Minot. Martha was one of the first residents to live in the Dakota Terrace Apartments. In April of 2002 she entered Trinity Homes, where she resided at the time of her death Martha enjoyed coffee parties, putting together puzzles, spending time with her flowers, cooking, baking and making afghans for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful housekeeper, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by: Children: Vernon (Barbara) Wenger,
