Albert Weishaar 1920 - 2002 Albert Weishaar, 81, 1419 1st Sat. SW, Minot, died Monday, September 30, 2002, in a Bismarck hospital. He was born November 23, 1920, in Mound City, SD, to John and Elizabeth (Ackerman) Weishaar. He was reared and educated in Benedict, ND. On December 26, 1943, he married Ruby Heinle in Turtle Lake, ND. They lived in Turtle Lake when Al entered the United States Army. He served during World War II from March 19, 1944, until he was honorably discharged on May 17, 1946. He returned to Minot where they lived until 1950. They then moved to Minneapolis where he started working as a Journeyman Plasterer in the Plasterer's Union Local #65. In 1967 they moved to Auburn, WA, where he worked for the Plasterer's Union #77, Seattle, WA. While residing in Auburn, Al worked on the Alaska Pipeline in Prudhoe Bay, AK. He retired in 1980. In 1983 they moved to Minot, where they have since resided. Al and Ruby also wintered in Mission, TX for the past 20 years. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Minot and was a lifetime member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars. Albert loved being with his family and spending time at the family farm in Benedict. He liked to hunt, fish and garden, and especially loved to grow Dahlia's. Survivors: wife, Ruby, Minot; brothers, Adolph (Estella) Weishaar, Minot; Arthur (Elsie) Weishaar, Benedict, Ervin (Ella) Weishaar, Wahpeton and Bert (Alice) Weishaar, Benedict; sisters, Alma Schumaier, Auburn, WA, Irene (Clarence) Krebsbach, Esther Vitko and Hulda Mehlhoff, all of Minot; Godchild, Stacy Turner, Eagan, MN and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carlotta; parents, John and Elizabeth; brothers, Willie and John. Funeral: Friday, 10:00 a.m., Faith United Methodist Church, Minot Visitation: Thursday, from 9 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Burial: North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery, Mandan, ND, Friday at 3:00 p.m. Officiant: Rev.
