Daniel Weigel • 1909 - 2004

Daniel Weigel, 66, Burlington, ND, died Friday, December 17, 2004, in his home.

Daniel was born on January 17, 1938, the third child of John P. and Barbara (Bachmeier) Weigel in Orrin, ND. He was raised and educated there.

Dan was married to Bertha A. Fix on February 8, 1960, in Rapid City, SD. They made their home there for a few years until moving to Minot, where he was employed by Mattson Construction. In 1971, they moved to Burlington, ND.

Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Surviving family includes: wife of 44 years: Bertha of Burlington;sons: Daniel A. Weigel of Casper, WY; and Darwin A. Weigel of Piney Point, Maryland;daughter: Veronica K. Weigel of Minot;
granddaughter: Daneijha Weigel;brothers: Albert, Jerome, Leonard, Dennis, Norman, Roger and Stanley;sisters: Elsie, Stella, Diana, Geraldine, Carol, Sandra, Lillian, and Cindy; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kim Weigel.

Funeral: Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Interment: Burlington Community Cemetery, Burlington, ND.

Visitation: Monday, December 20, 2004, from Noon until 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
