Marvin W. Walker, 73, Minot, died Friday, December 26, 2008 in a Minot hospital.

Marvin W. Walker was born on October 12, 1935, a son of William and Myrtle (Indahl) Walker in Minot. Marvin attended school in Minot.

He was drafted into the United States Army on September 17, 1958 and was stationed at Fort Collins, CO. Following his discharge from the Army, he returned to Minot where he worked various jobs. Marvin worked for Blessener Olds in the body shop for over 20 years.

In 1979, Marvin moved to Yakima, WA where he worked as a roofer. He lived there until September 25, 2008 when he returned to Minot due to ill health. He enjoyed playing cards, ice fishing, gardening and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Those who shared his life: Mother: Myrtle, brothers James, Kenneth and George (Linda) Walker, all of Minot. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father William "Bill", sister Audrey Kautzman and his grandparents.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, friends may sign a register book on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 9 until service time at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Memorial Service: Friday, January 2, 2009, at 10:30 am at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Burial: Private family burial will take place in the spring of 2009.
