Patrick Wald 1950 - 2005 Patrick Wald, 55, 2100 4th St. SW, Minot, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 in a Minot hospital. Patrick was born January 17, 1950, the son of Michael and Viola (Nyland) Wald in Fargo, ND. He moved with his family to Minot in 1955. Where he was reared and educated graduating from Minot High School in 1968, and from Minot State College in 1972 with a degree in Business Administration.. Pat started a career in the hotel industry his sophomore year of high school when he worked as a Bell Hop at the Clarence Parker Hotel. Following his college graduation, he managed hotels in both Minot and Bismarck. He returned to Minot and began working at the Thrifty Scott, now known as the Days Inn. In 2002, Pat became the owner, manager of the Days Inn. He was a member of the Minot Pool League, the Rifle and Pistol Club, the Y's Men's Club. He loved spending time with his family and friends, watching NASCAR, playing pool, and golfing. He especially enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, and Minnesota Twins, as well as following and supporting local high school and college events.
