Nathan Wagner 1945 - 2009 Nathan Edward Wagner, Sr., was born October 22, 1945, a son of Stanley and Lillian (Sladek) Wagner, in New Prague, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in New Prague and graduated from St. Wenceslaus Catholic School in New Prague in 1963. Nathan enlisted in the United States Air Force August 6, 1965. He began his military career at the Grand Forks Air Force Base, Grand Forks, ND. Nathan married Bonita Wolf June 15, 1969, in Grand Forks, ND. Nathan was later stationed in Alaska, Florida, California, Okinawa, Japan, and finally was stationed in Sembach, Germany. He proudly served his country for a little over 17 years and was honorably discharged April 4, 1983. Following his discharge from the Air Force, they moved back to North Dakota and made their home in Minot. Nathan worked as a cook at the Hacienda and the Lucky Strike Lounge at the North Hill Bowl. He then attended Minot State University, where he attained an Associates degree in Management in 1988, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Economics in 1990. During this time he had driven the St. John's bus in the afternoons for Bishop Ryan High School and Little Flower School. Following his college graduation, he took a civil service job as a data analyst at the U.S.A.F. Hospital Clinic. He was a member of St. Michael's Ukranian Catholic Church, Minot, a life member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and a former Union Stewart and vice-president of the MAFB AFGE Local 4046. He was an avid bowler, who bowled in leagues for several years. He also enjoyed golfing, pinochle, cribbage, and was an Elvis fan. Surviving family includes: wife of 40 years, Bonita, Minot; children, Nathan (Ruth) Wagner, Jr., and their children, Catlin and Jacob, Aurora, CO, Charlette Wagner, Milwaukie, OR, and Helene Wagner, Long Beach, CA; brother, Jerry (Donna) Wagner, Colorado; sisters, Anna Marie, Peacecorp, Ukraine, and Jovita Neal, Denver, CO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jeames "Jim" Wagner. Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, September 10, 2009,
at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot.

Immediately following the funeral mass there will be lunch and fellowship in the fellowship hall of the church. The graveside service will commence at 3:00 pm at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND. There will be no formal procession. Our family would like to thank all of you for your many acts
