Eunice Vicha 1920- 2006 Eunice Marie Evenson was born on January 1, 1920, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Finn) in Palermo, ND. She was raised in Minot and was educated at St. Leo's School. She moved to Little Falls, MN, where she graduated from high school. Eunice married Joe Vicha in 1941. They made their home in Minot, where she was employed as a saleswoman at Buttrey's Clothing Store. She had also been an Avon Representative. Joe passed away on November 15, 1982. Eunice married Ben Gachne in 1986. They made their home in Velva, ND. Ben passed away on March 27, 1990. She had continued to reside in Velva following Ben's death. She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge, and Souris Valley Humane Society, all of Minot. She was currently a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva, and had volunteered at Souris Valley Care Center, Velva, for a number of years. She enjoyed playing bridge and taking care of her dogs. Surviving family includes: sons, John (Patricia) Vicha, Wheaton, IL, Joe (Kay) Vicha, Minot, Paul (Rebecca) Vicha, San Jose, CA; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Anderson, of California. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Vicha; husband, Ben Gachne; infant daughter; granddaughter, Karen Vicha; brothers, Don and Bruce Evenson; sisters, Grace Evenson and Lucille Hines.
