Wallace Vibeto 1915 - 2004 Wallace Vibeto, 89, 1201-31st Ave. SW, Minot, ND, died Friday, September 3, 2004, at a Minot hospital. Wallace Kenneth Vibeto, was born on April 26, 1915, the son of Carl and Emma (Ramsvik) in Bergen, ND. He was reared and educated in the Bergen area, graduating in 1934. He attended Bemis Business College in Minot. Following graduation, Wallace moved to Glasgow, MT, where
he worked before moving to Wenatchee, WA, where he played semi-pro
baseball. He then moved to Billings and was in the Red Lodge
area when he was drafted into the US Army on February 6, 1941. Wallace married Sylvia Carlson, May 1, 1946 in Towner, ND. They made their home in Kalispell, MT., where Wallace worked as a carpenter. In 1949, they moved to Turtle Lake, where he managed Equity Lumber Yard. The couple moved to Velva in 1956. Wallace was the owner and co-owner of the Allied Contractors in Minot, from 1959-1968. Following the sale of Allied Contractors, Wallace owned a steel building business in Williston. From 1969-1975, Wallace was the co-owner and Vice-President of Wedge Cor Mfg, in Jamestown. Following retirement, Wallace and his family owned and operated the Valley Drive-In Theater for 6 years. Wallace was active in the Velva Community Development. He
was instrumental in the opening of the Souris Valley Care Center,
Low Cost Housing, and Midwest Processing. Funeral Service: Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at 10:30
