Thomas L. Tobin 1930- 2011 Tom was born April 13, 1930, in Minot, ND to George T. and Wilhemena “Minnie” (Klier) Tobin. He was raised in Minot and attended Washington Elementary through the sixth grade. He graduated from St. Leo’s High School. Tom joined the National Guard and was called into active duty in 1949 and served until 1951 during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged and returned to North Dakota. He worked at Crane Company as a salesman in Minot for a time and later was transferred to St. Paul, MN and then Davenport, IA. He was once married to Freda Becker. Tom was a member of the American Legion and while living in Minot was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Those who shared in his life: Children, Tom, Deb, Pat, Dan, Barb and Mick; seven grandchildren; brother, George Tobin. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Virginia. Memorial Mass: Friday, July 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. |
