Tracy Thoreson 1966 - 2007 Tracy Jean Thoreson was born February 9, 1966, the daughter of Thomas and Nina (Jenson) Thoreson in New Rockford, ND. When she was a day old, she was moved to St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, ND, and was there for a year. She had attended Velva Public Schools and the Anne Carlson School in Jamestown. As a young adult, she moved to Mandan, ND, and lived at the Independent Living Center for three years. She moved to Minot in 1987, and through REM would volunteer for various work places in Minot. For the past 14 years, she had resided at the Milton Young Towers. She worked all her life at being a good friend to those she came in contact with. Tracy was a strong-willed fighter, who lived life on her own terms. She was boisterous and straight forward-she retained the innocence of a child that speaks exactly what's on their mind. Every battle she fought inspired those around her, and to the night she passed away, she left this world when she wanted to. She is loved and cherished. She was a member of Hjerdahl Lutheran Church, Voltaire. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, craft work and watching soap operas. Surviving family includes: mother and father, Tom and Nina Thoreson, Voltaire, ND; brother, Troy (Carrie) Thoreson and their children, Jordan and T.K., all of Astoria, OR; sisters, Toni (Doug) Kuntz and their children, Kara and Daniel Kuntz, all of Voltaire, ND, and Tara Thoreson, Fargo, ND; Granny Frannie, Minot; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Tracy was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edna and Tebert Thoreson; and maternal grandparents, Vivian and Eugene Jenson. Funeral: Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at 1:00 p.m.
