Marian Luella Thompson
1909 - 2004 Marian Luella Thompson, 95, Kenmare, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, in the Good Samaritan Center in Mohall. Marian was born February 16, 1909, in Bowbells, ND, the daughter, of James M. and Effie Irene (Rogers) Felch. She was raised and educated in Bowbells and attended Bowbells High School. On February 23, 1927, she married Alfred J. Thompson at Bowbells, ND. They lived and farmed near Bowbells. Marian worked for a time at the hotel and café in Bowbells. In 1961 they moved to Kenmare where she was employed at the dairy store and café, until her retirement in 1978. Her husband Alfred died in 1974. Marian continued to live in Kenmare until 1997, when she moved into the Good Samaritan Center in Mohall. Marian was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Kenmare, ND. Survivors: Nieces and nephews, Alta Noack, Las Vegas, NV, Carol Callies, Centralia, WA, Duane Tenderholt, Newman Lake, WA, Darlene Sloan, Lynnwood, WA, and Kathy Tenderholt, Layton, UT; great nieces and nephews, Larry Iverson, Springfield, MO, Donald Noack, Jr., Chanhassen, MN, Bruce Noack, Maple Plain, MN, Kevin Noack, Salt Lake City, UT, Robert Noack, Watertown, MN, Michael Noack, Lakeville, MN, Kristi Limke, Buffalo, MN, Linda McCarthy, Missoula, MT, and Joni Van Dyke, Silver Spring, MD; numerous great-great nieces and nephews survive; sister-in-law, Marian Thompson, Bowbells. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; her parents, James and Effie Felch; sister, Myrtle Tenderholt and nephew, Kenneth Tenderholt. Funeral: Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at Faith Baptist Church, Kenmare, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial: Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., at the Bowbells Cemetery, Bowbells, ND. MEMORIALS ARE PREFERRED TO FAITH BAPTIST CHURCH, 318 6TH AVE.
