Donald P. Thompson, Jr., 43, Kenmare, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in his home.

Donald Peter Thompson, Jr., was born February 16, 1966 in Kenmare, ND, to Donald and Madeleine (Harris) Thompson, Sr. He was raised in Kenmare and graduated from Kenmare High School in 1984. While in school Donald was active football and basketball, but he especially loved playing baseball.

He worked as a seismographer for many years in various states, including, Montana, Wyoming, Texas and Louisiana.

At the time of his death, Donald was working at Industrial Builders Inc., Fargo, ND, where he had been employed the last 17 years.

He was an avid sportsman and he deeply loved his family. He always kept in touch and remained active in the lives of his many nieces and nephews.

Those who shared in his life, sisters, Gaynell (Roger) Lawson, Turtle Lake, ND, Cheryl Nore and her special friend, Carl Haugan, Lansford, ND, Tamara (James) Frank, Fargo, ND, Delora (Duane) Dockter, Kenmare, Monica Johnson, Fargo, and Denise Kay Thompson and her fiancée, Rick Cannon, Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Craig (Karen) Thompson, Wilton, ND, Tim (Kathy) Thompson, Donnybrook, ND, Mike (Carol) Thompson, Kenmare, ND; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Madeleine Thompson, and a brother, Blaine Joe Thompson.

Funeral: Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare, ND.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the guest register Monday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial: St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.
