Craig R. Tessendorf 1969 - 2011

Craig Tessendorf PhotoCraig R. Tessendorf, 42, lost his 2 ½ year battle with cancer at home on February 9, 2011 with his wife, children, family, and friends by his side.

Craig was born on January 29, 1969 in Pittsburg, Kansas.  He graduated from Minot High School in 1987.  In 1995, Craig was united in marriage to Tricia Sennett at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot.  From this unity Casara and Myah were born.  In 1996, the family moved to Phoenix, AZ because Craig wanted to be able to golf year round.

Craig worked in various construction jobs throughout the years and most recently was a truck driver for Keller Paving.  During the off season, Craig was a courier for Integrated Commercial Solutions.  He celebrated watching the Super Bowl with friends at Kelly Gange’s home, his golfing and motorcycle – riding buddy.  Craig was a doer, a man of action and a lover of children.  Even when he was suffering from the effects of chemo, he took his numerous nieces and nephews sledding last winter.

Craig is survived by his wife, Tricia (Sennett) Tessendorf; daughters, Casara Ann and Myah Lucier Tessendorf;  mother, Linda Weltz, all of Minot, step-siblings, David Weltz, Vince Weltz, James Weltz, Lianne Welts, all of Bismarck, ND;  step-sister, Crystal (Anthony) Christopher, Tampa, FL;  father, Hugh (Cheryl) Tessendorf; brothers, Blair (Diane) Tessendorf, and Eric (Helen) Tessendorf, all of Wichita, KS, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Craig was preceded in death by his step- father, Stan Weltz and his grandparents.

Liturgy of the Word: Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Visitation: Monday, February 14, 2011 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday, February 14, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial: Private family burial will take place at a later date.

Immediately following the funeral service, everyone in invited to join the family in the lower level of the church for lunch and fellowship.

The Tessendorf family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown to them during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. May God bless the memory of Craig.
