Donna Tarter 1949 - 2008 Donna was born on February 8, 1949 in Minot, ND, a daughter of Richard and Luella (Vaughn) Schmidt. She was reared and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School and attending Minot State University. She was employed as a cook at numerous cafes and restaurants in the Minot area and was once a part owner of the East Winds Café. Donna enjoyed her travels in Europe while living in Germany and Spain. She enjoyed flowers and her garden. She was an avid NASCAR Racing and NODAK Racing fan, her favorite being Dale Earnhardt Sr. She was also a Minnesota Vikings fan. Donna was once married to Kenneth Tarter. To this marriage her son Kenneth was born in 1971. Donna is survived by her son Kenneth Tarter of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; her sisters Gloria Johnson and her companion Glenn Schumaier of Minot, Vicky Bingham and her husband Mike of Phoenix, AZ, Candy Seney and her husband Keith of Minot, and Lori Stebleton and her husband Jeff of Minot; brother Richard Schmidt and his companion Mandy Pitcher of Fargo, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A public gathering of family and friends to honor the
life of Donna Tarter will take place on Monday, June 9, 2008
from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the home of Jeff and Lori Stebleton,
