Arne Tangsrud 1924 - 2002

Arne H. Tangsrud, 77, 1325 27th St. SE, Lot 101, Minot, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, in a Minot hospital.

Arne was born July 14, 1924, on the family farm near McGregor, ND, the son of Arthur and Margit Tangsrud. He was raised and attended country school in the McGregor area. He farmed the family farm and worked at a locker plant in Crosby as a butcher for several years.

In 1971 he moved to Minot and worked for the City of Minot for a short time. He then went to work for Suburban Mobile Home Dealers which later was Classic Mobile Home. He then opened Arne Tangsrud Mobile Home Service which he owned and operated until ill health forced him to retire.

He married Louella Reichenberger in 1972 at Velva, ND.

He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, ND.

Survivors: Wife, Louella, Minot; daughter, Jean (Craig) Mehlhoff, Burlington; two grandsons, Michael and Nathan Mehlhoff, Burlington; sister, Viola Tangsrud and brother, Morris Tangsrud, both of Tioga; one niece and one nephew also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents

Funeral: Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 5:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
