Robert E. Tague 1915 - 2003

Robert E. Tague, 87, Burlington, ND, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2003, in Cambridge, MN.

Robert was born on November 2, 1915 in Adel, Iowa, the son of Orville W. and Pearl (Zorn) Tague. He was reared and educated in Iowa and went to work for the Great Northern Railway. He married LaRue (Peggy) Schossow on December 1, 1940 in Minot. He entered the United States Army on October 8, 1942 and served in the European Theater during World War II. Upon his honorable discharge on January 14, 1945 they moved to Burlington, North Dakota and he continued to work for the Great Northern Railway until he retired in 1961 because of a disability. In later years, LaRue and Robert lived in North Branch, Minnesota and Burlington. LaRue passed away earlier this year.

Robert loved to hobby farm in his spare time.

Survivors: Two daughters, Alice Murray and her husband, Hollis, North Branch, MN, Georgia Tague, Nashville, TN and Jody Albohm, Burlington, ND; four grandchildren, John Murray, Kristy Tindal, Jaimie Wilson and Cortney Wilson; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Caleb, Nick and McKenna; brothers, Ray and Cecil (May) Tague both of Tacoma, WA and Ernest Tague of Minot; sisters, Eunice Mayer, Rita (Jack) Wheeler and Irma Jean Tague all of Tacoma, WA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, LaRue and son John Robert Tague who gave his life in the Vietnam War.

Funeral Service: Saturday, September 6, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Burlington, ND.

Visitation: Saturday, September 6, 2003, one hour prior to the service at the church in Burlington.

Burial: Saturday, September 6, 2003, 1:30 p.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
