Eva Marie Swenson 1927 - 2007

Eva Marie Swenson, 79, Kenmare, formerly of Tolley, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 in the Kenmare Hospital.

Eva was born July 11, 1927 in Belcourt, ND, the daughter of Alex and Rosalie (Lizotte) Dionne. Eva was the fifth of seventeen children. In her early teens she moved with her family to Mohall, ND, and later attended school in Chamberlain, SD.

Eva was once married to Lester Thompson and to that union three children were born, Donna, Robert and Michael. She was once married to Archie McTaggart and to that union, Helen was born.

She married Art Swenson and following their marriage they made their home in Tolley. Eva was a cook at the Tolley school for several years. Art died in 1985.

Survivors: Daughters, Donna (Jim) Daleness, Ryder, ND and Helen (Tom) Sheets, Eatonville, WA; sons, Robert Thompson, Seattle, WA and Michael (Carol) Thompson, Sumner, WA; nine grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren; brothers, Gerald and Leonard Dionne; sisters, Blanche, Lillian and Helen. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art Swenson; one sister and ten brothers; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Memorial Service: Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare.

There will be no reviewal in Kenmare, but friends may sign the register one hour prior to the service Saturday in St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Visitation in Minot: Saturday, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, MINOT.

Burial: In the spring at McKinney Cemetery, Tolley, ND.
