During World War II, Ruth and Clyde lived in Ogallala and Omaha, NE, where she taught school, so she could be with Clyde, who was in the Signal Corps. In 1944, they returned to Columbus, where Clyde managed and helped in the family business, eventually selling the business after the death of his father, and entered into farming. After retiring in 1983, Clyde and Ruth moved into Minot.
