Lucille Stevens 1924 - 2002

Lucille Stevens, 78, 3205 10th St. SW, Minot, ND, died Wednesday, August 14, 2002 in a Minot Hospital.

She was born on February 15, 1924, on a farm southeast of Drake, ND to Richard and Minnie (Hoffman) Wilde, where she was reared and educated. She married Cecil Stevens on October 10, 1942 at Towner, ND. They farmed near Balfour from 1943 until their retirement in 1989, when they moved to Velva. Cecil died in June of 1990. In August of 2000, she moved to Minot.

She was a member of the Balfour Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son, Duston and his wife, Karen of Minot; grandson, Matthew of Muncie, Indiana and granddaughter, Nicole of Minot; sisters, Agnes Westergaard, Minot, Florence Sherlock , Balfour and Velma Thom of Spokane, WA. Many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Saturday, August 17, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at Balfour Lutheran Church, Balfour.

Burial: Bergen cemetery, Bergen, ND

Visitation: Friday, from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.
