Geneva E. Stevens 1955 - 2007 Geneva was born January 16, 1955 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Carl and Elma (Smith) Cunningham. She was raised and educated in Lansford and graduated from Lansford High School in 1973. She attended one year at Minot State College and then NDSU Bottineau branch for two years, where she graduated with a degree in horticulture. On May 6, 1978 Geneva married Rodney Stevens at St. John's Catholic Church in Lansford. They made their home in Glenburn, where Geneva worked as a bookkeeper at Stevens Welding. In 1993 they moved to their present home near Upham. Geneva continued to work at Stevens Welding until 2001, when she began employment at Farden Construction in Maxbass, where she worked until the time of her death. Geneva was a member of St. Philomena's Catholic Church, Glenburn, ND, where she volunteered for many years. She was a member of Piecemakers Quilting Guild at Newburg, ND. Geneva's quilting hobby quickly became her passion as she blessed many with the warmth and beauty of her work. Geneva enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Ally. Those who shared in her life, Husband, Rodney "Pick" Stevens, Upham; daughters, Hannah (Tony) Zimmerman, Bismarck and Danielle (Matt) Miller, Minot; one granddaughter, Ally Miller, Minot; mother, Elma Cunningham, Minot; brothers and sisters, Lee (Gayle) Cunningham, Lansford, Earl (Wanda) Cunningham, Redvers, Sask., Canada, Glen (Lynnette) Cunningham, Lansford, Jerry (Colette) Cunningham, Lansford, Marie (Mike) Sidener and Neta (Brian) Lee, all in Minot; brother-in-law, Lynn (Judy) Stevens, Glenburn; sisters-in-law, Susan (Victor) Bynum, Elko, NV, and Janice Stevens, Minot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Geneva was preceded in death by her father, Carl; nephew, Noah Cunningham; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Clara Stevens; brother-in-law, Gary "Pete" Stevens. Funeral: Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Lansford, ND. Visitation and vigil prayer service: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the guest register, Friday, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, and from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Lansford, with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the church in Lansford. nurses and staff at Cancer Care for the extraordinary care Geneva
